On April 19th, the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) at Georgia State collaborated to serve as a host for the InterConnect Conference 2020 (See full list of event sponsors below). The goal of the conference was to educate and equip attendees with the proper tools to obtain exponential success within their business ventures and maintain an upward trajectory during uncertain times.
Over 300 people connected through this large-scale virtual event. Entrepreneurs were encouraged to continue to connect and help each other grow, regardless of where they may be across the globe. Entrepreneurs, both young and old, heard from seven guest speakers who came from a variety of industries and offered their personal experiences and expert advice.
Kiara Henry (B.A. ‘20), Chapter President of the Georgia State CEO Student Organization, served as an emcee for the conference and put forth an outstanding effort to make this event a success.
The event began at 11 o’clock in the morning and featured a number of engaging proceedings until 8 o’clock in the evening – making for a quite an informative day. The virtual workshops ranged from topics such as, “Pioneering Through A Pandemic”, “ Navigating Career Moves During A Recession”, “Pitching Uniqueness” and even a virtual mindfulness and yoga session!
The attendees also had opportunities to connect with like-minded students and seasoned professionals from all corners of the world. $1,500 worth of gift cards were also given away and a lucky few had the chance to win free services for themselves and their businesses.
