What company are you interning at this summer?
One day I was browsing through my Georgia State email and came across the ENI Panther-preneur newsletter. I noticed an internship opportunity from Understory that was looking for a Social Media Lead. This sparked my interest the moment I saw it, so I applied!

What sort of work do you do through your internship?
I am Understory’s “Social Media Lead” which means my job is to garner attention to Understory. Basically in this role, I am responsible for curating Understory’s brand through social media channels such as Instagram! More specifically, I create posts, stories, take pictures, and bring in ideas that will help gain attraction and exposure for Understory. Check out Understory’s Instagram profile to see some of the work that I’ve done over the past two months.
What have you learned from your internship?
Interning at Understory has taught me numerous things. Throughout the past couple of months, I have learned the importance of sustainability and how vital it is to support other businesses and organizations as well as to help them use technology and innovation to make the world more sustainable. Understory has given me a chance to develop my creative writing skills through their podcasts in addition to challenging me to create not just event posts, but educational posts to educate others as well. Not only that, I have realized how much work and effort it takes to start up an organization from scratch, hence Understory!
What do you plan to do post-graduation?
My plans after I graduate is to find opportunities in the creative field! Being a Social Media Lead has taught me many things, and hopefully I can work for a media management company that will help clients promote their own brand!
