Georgia State shares knowledge at Annual Veterans Entrepreneurship Training Symposium

The associate director of the H.J. Russell Center for Entrepreneurship, Dr. Isabelle Monlouis participated in Hillsborough Community College’s 9th Annual Veterans Entrepreneurship Training Symposium. Along with her (virtually) was a current student, Michael Lopez Rios from her ENI 3103 course. Read how the event reached over 200 attendees and awarded $13,000 in pitch prizes to six veteran-owned businesses.

Georgia State University joins Montclair State University’s 8th Annual Women Entrepreneurship Week 2021

Georgia State University’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute (ENI) and WomenLead program have joined together to celebrate Women Entrepreneurship Week (WEW) on October 18-22 by hosting an interactive virtual panel discussion featuring three female entrepreneurs as they share challenges and successes along their entrepreneurial journeys.

The Entrepreneurship and innovation Institute (ENI) of Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business has received the Excellence in Student Engagement in Entrepreneurship Award at the 10th annual Deshpande Symposium for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Higher Education. Seven of Georgia State’s Main Street Seed Fund Alumni to Receive Follow-on Funding

Georgia State University’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute (ENI) has announced follow-on funding for select Main Street Entrepreneurs Seed Fund (MSESF) alumni companies. Seven companies from Main Street’s inaugural cohort (Cohort 1), which graduated from the business accelerator program in 2020, will be receiving an additional grant to use in scaling their ventures. Umama Kibria (B.B.A. ’14) is the founder of Sweatpack, a fitness web app allows people to sign up for sports leagues or fitness classes with a group of friends or strangers. Kibria has participated in Atlanta Tech Village’s It Takes a Village, Georgia State University’s Main Street Entrepreneurs Seed Fund and Beyond the Game accelerators.
