Why did you launch your company?
We launched our company to improve the quality of life for individuals living with epilepsy and their families by taking our digital health research commercial.
How did you find your team? What advice can you offer to others that are struggling to build the right team?
Our team consists of myself and my brother who have always been interested in digital health research. My advice to others trying to build a team is to put yourself out there and find individuals in the same lane of interest and work as you, that complement your weaknesses as well.
How has your formal education/experiences at Georgia State played a role in your becoming an entrepreneur?
My formal education experiences at Georgia State have inspired me to see beyond the classroom, look at problems in a different light and identify opportunities to make a real-world impact with my skill set. At Georgia State, I also heard many inspiring stories and saw role models firsthand that allowed me to understand that someone can have an idea, run with it on an amazing adventure of entrepreneurship, and really maximize the impact of their work in the real world and create opportunities for themselves and others.
What advice can you offer to entrepreneurs?
Talk to your customer and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
What is your long-term goal(s)? For you? For the company?
My long-term goal for myself is to be the CTO of a successful business bringing innovative technologies to market in the digital health space. My long-term goal for my company is to hire a team of over 20 people, and positively change the lives of families with individuals with disabilities through our software.
What innovative technologies are being leveraged in your business?
Our novel seizure detection algorithm and machine learning techniques optimize parameters and find insights for epilepsy patients with their data.
Has your company participated in any pitch competitions, accelerators, or incubators?
We have taken part in the Georgia Tech Create X Startup launch accelerator.
