How has your company pivoted from its initial launch?
We initially thought the majority of our business would be in web development but ended up becoming more specialized in video and graphic content creation.
How has your formal education/experiences at Georgia State played a role in your becoming an entrepreneur?
I’ve used the creative and entrepreneurial courses at Georgia State to strengthen my skills as an interdisciplinary designer and entrepreneur. Courses like New Ventures in Creative Media, 3D Modeling, and Game Engine Pipeline have taught me skills currently very high in demand that I have been able to monetize through Vindici.
Have you always been entrepreneurial? Share a specific story from your childhood, your entrepreneurial parents, etc.
Yes, I remember the first time I ever performed a technological service was in the 3rd grade. I jailbroke a friend’s iPod touch on my parents’ Toshiba laptop. I picked up sneaker reselling in high school and then graduated to reselling general products.
What advice can you offer to entrepreneurs?
Collaboration > Competition but make sure you are collaborating with people who compliment your culture and brand.
What is your long-term goal(s)? For you? For the company?
I would like to build Vindici into a global collaborative studio working with brands all over the world.
What innovative technologies are being leveraged in your business?
We are currently utilizing Unreal Engine and Maya to 3D model products, scenes, and graphics. SparkAR and Unity are being used for branded face filters. Finally, we have incorporated React and Solidity programming languages for creating smart contracts for NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain.
How has Georgia State supported you in your entrepreneurial journey?
The people I have met while at Georgia State have opened several doors to many projects and opportunities. Learning how to improve as a creative and receiving guidance from professors of practice that are actively working in the industry has been tremendously helpful.
Share a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know.
I’ve been designing across multiple disciplines since I was 12.
Is there anything about you, your business and/or your team you would like to share?
I started the company at the dawn of COVID and focused all my efforts on building the brand and clientele. We’ve been able to take our best client from low six figures to multi seven figures in revenue per year with our brand identity design and content creation services. We’ve also completed 26 client projects since the creation of the company while being full-time university students.
