The Atlanta Chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) held their annual competition for the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA). This year, GSEA was once again formatted as a Livestream pitch competition where six finalists from universities across the country competed for a chance to win cash prizes and move onto the Global Finals later this year. More than 300 qualified student entrepreneurs from 151 campuses applied for their chance at $15,000 in seed funding. CEO has selected a total of 110 ventures across 75 campuses to compete. Among the competitors, are three Georgia State student founders. Learn who they are.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Entrepreneurship, Kiara Henry is both a creative story teller and entrepreneur. For the past year, she has served as President of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) for Georgia State campus, providing students access to entrepreneurial resources and opportunities while coordinating workshops and speaker series.
Amyn Sadruddin (B.S. ’14), executive director of TiE Atlanta addressed CEO members at the final weekly speaker gathering this Spring semester. Basing his knowledge on years of experience, Sadruddin shared two key takeaways to some 15 students that April morning.
