Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute joins 20,000 organizations helping entrepreneurs transform ideas into action during Global Entrepreneurship Week 2021

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) on November 8-14 by hosting a virtual event entitled Entrepreneurs without Borders. The panel discussion is a joint effort between Georgia State University’s Institute for International Business and the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute (ENI).

APPAM Entrepreneurship Policy Fellowship Faculty Named

Cathy Yang Liu, Ph.D., Professor and Chair, Department of Public Management and Policy in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University was awarded as an Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management (APPAM) Entrepreneurship Policy Fellowship Faculty. This is a joint effort between APPAM and the Kauffman Foundation to promote entrepreneurship research in the policy community and it’s in the first year. Read awards article.

Two GSU Alums Win Grant Awards from WEI

The Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) received a generous donation from the Atlanta Hawks Foundation to present a series of workshops, a pitch competition and grants for women entrepreneurs in the City of Atlanta. Business were divided into two groups one representing the Greater Atlanta Community and the second for their current cohort. Learn more.

Entrepreneurship & Innovation Institute Wins Student Engagement Award at Deshpande Symposium

The Entrepreneurship and innovation Institute (ENI) of Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business has received the Excellence in Student Engagement in Entrepreneurship Award at the 10th annual Deshpande Symposium for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Higher Education. The award recognizes an institution that encourages student leadership and engagement and supports the development of entrepreneurial awareness, skills and practice. Read more.

Dr. Monlouis Named Finalist for Global Entrepreneurship Education Excellence Award

The ICSB Global Awards in Entrepreneurship Education Excellence were created to recognize excellence in entrepreneurship education at the programmatic level. Recently, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute (ENI) faculty member, Dr. Isabelle Monlouis was named one of five finalists for this prestigious award on behalf of WomenLead in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Seven of Georgia State’s Main Street Seed Fund Alumni to Receive Follow-on Funding

Georgia State University’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute (ENI) has announced follow-on funding for select Main Street Entrepreneurs Seed Fund (MSESF) alumni companies. Seven companies from Main Street’s inaugural cohort (Cohort 1), which graduated from the business accelerator program in 2020, will be receiving an additional grant to use in scaling their ventures. Interdisciplinary Collaboration to Foster Entrepreneurship Research at Georgia State

Entrepreneurship is the engine of social mobility. It is also a key focus at GSU helping our students thrive by cultivating their entrepreneurial ambitions. As a tier 1 research institution rigorous research is also an important aspect of this focus at GSU. In line with this idea, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute (ENI) recently launched the Entrepreneurship Research Group (ERG) at GSU.
